The 2008 Avenues Street Fair is Saturday

The fair is Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Third Avenue will be blocked between I and N Streets all day for the event. Plan to be there with your family! Join the more than 10,000 other guests (maybe 15,000!) at the premier neighborhood event held in the state each year! Get more details.

Street Fair Schedule

6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Volunteers needed for setup. Contact Ruth Morgan to help.

9 a.m. Fair begins; 200 booths open; local artists, food, information, community groups

9 a.m. Children's Parade led by city fire department; starts at N Street.

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Entertainment at stages at I Street and N Street.

3 p.m. People's Art Gallery winners announced at East Stage.

Greater Avenues Demonstration Garden Moving Forward

The demonstration garden is moving forward and GACC will soon receive a funding request, according to Tom Berggren, committee chairman.

The garden will demonstrate water-wise planting techniques, but also provide a pleasant stopping place for strollers and cyclists at 11th Avenue and Terrace Hills Drive.
