Pages 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5

LEGISLATIVE REPORT: Paula Julander and Ralph Becker:
We have nothing to report because everyone is out campaigning. We encourage you to go to the polls and vote.

CITY COUNCIL REP. Tom Rogan: With regards to the traffic issues in the Capitol Restoration plan, I put all the neighborhood traffic issues and the applicable traffic Master Plans in the hands of the Capitol Restoration Committee. They promised to take them all into account. Another piece of news: On October 18th the Mayor and the Council members sat down and talked about all the issues in the City. It was a good step. It never happened with the prior Administration. It was very useful. I call this to your attention because we want you to know that your elected officials are working together for Salt Lake City. There were two big issues: Do we order the pumpkin down before or after Halloween. The Mayor's chief of staff got a ticket for jaywalking. She should have gotten a ticket for wearing a bad Halloween outfit. You may call me with questions or comments at 355-0461 or email me at Teefar@aros.net

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We have only a few Children's Art tee shirts left. If you want to buy one of last year's shirts, they are $5. We also have sodas left. If you want one, they have been the decor in my living room for a month. Please take pity on me and buy one.

ELECTIONS: Phil Carroll:
I am the permanent ex-chair. To vote in the GACC you need to live here or own a business. There is no age requirement. We have to select a slate of officers for the year and also offer a slate of the Board members. The Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month. They set the agenda, and are expected to give more volunteer service when needed. We have selected one person for each spot, and then we will take nominations from the floor. Slate: President-elect - Larry Rigby who will now become the chair after the December meeting. The Chair-elect is Dick Smiley; Treasurer: John Sittner; Secretary: Grace Wilson. Are there any other nominations from the floor? I move that we accept the slate. Is there any discussion? No discussion: We will vote: Any one opposed? Voting unanimous.
