The Greater Avenues Community Council is an all volunteer community group and there are countless ways for you to get involved!
Attend Meetings
Get to know your community and the issues we face by attending our monthly Community Council meetings. Join us the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Sweet Library (445 F Street). Board meetings fall on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, also at Sweet Library at 6:00 p.m.. All GACC meetings are open to the public in person and on Zoom. View Meeting Minutes.
Become a Board Member
Represent your Avenues by serving on the GACC Board. The GACC seeks new board members beginning each September. Elections are held in November and board members serve an annual term beginning in mid-December. Board members bring issues forth, participate in community discussions, determine monthly meeting agendas, contribute to our monthly newsletter (The Agenda) and serve on committees working to improve our community. Contact Dianne Leonard on the Nominating Committee for more information. View our current GACC Board and our Vision & Bylaws.
